The latest Droids are near. Verizon and Lenovo today announced that the Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Force Droid will launch on the leading US carrier on July 28th — a week from today. Preorders for the two smartphones with modular "MotoMods" attachments start today. The Moto Z retails for $624 or $26 monthly on Verizon's device payment plan. The Moto Z Force is slightly more expensive at $720 full price of $30 on the plan.
Both devices share a number of hardware specs: they've each got a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and offer either 32GB or 64GB of built-in storage, plus microSD expansion up to 2TB. They also both lack a headphone jack, forcing users to either go wireless with Bluetooth headphones...
