LG likes to announce its products multiple times, and in that spirit the company sent out a release today announcing a monitor that it will announce at CES. We don’t have all the details yet, but the important thing to know about the 32UD99 is that it’s a 32-inch 4K (3840 x 2160) monitor that supports the HDR10 standard.
While 4K monitors have been fairly commonplace for years and HDR is now a standard feature on TVs, HDR-capable PC monitors are only just starting to come out — LG’s is one of the first. The IPS screen can display over 95 percent of the P3 color gamut, and has USB-C connectivity so you can charge your laptop and stream images to the monitor with a single cable.
LG will also be using CES to show off some of its newer high-end monitors, like the Mac-focused UltraFine range and the UltraWide Mobile Monitor with built-in Chromecast support.
