Lens attachments have been a mainstay accessory for iPhones for years thanks to companies like Olloclip and Moment. But we’ve never seen anything quite like this new idea from a company called Kamerar, if only because the iPhone has always only had one camera on the back.
Kamerar developed a pretty clever case-and-clip solution for sliding different lens attachments over the cameras on the back of the iPhone 7 Plus. $45 gets you two clips: one that turns the wide angle into a fisheye and the telephoto into a longer zoom, and one that allows for macro photography.
What seems nice about the design is that you can easily swap these attachments, or even slide them out of the way when you don’t want to use them. You do have to use their case, though. And keep in mind, photos taken with lens attachments often wind up looking a little worse than ones taken with the regular cameras. But if they help you get the shot you want, that difference in quality might not matter as much in the end.
